Luka Koper as a lead partner, together with Municipality of Koper and Norway company Greenstat, successfully applied for funding from Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation programme – for a construction of solar power plant.
The SOPOREM project will last two years – until April 2024. The main goal of the project is to increase the production of energy from renewable sources in the port of Koper and in the Municipality of Koper, thus contributing to the reduction of net-zero greenhouse gas emissions and the abandonment of the use of fossil fuels. With the project, we will build two solar power plants and help reduce the carbon footprint and contribute to the reduction of emissions and greenhouse gases.
