On Wednesday, April 17, 2024, the online closing meeting of the SOPOREM project took place. In the introductory part of the meeting, the lead partner, Luka Koper, presented an overview of the project progress and achieved results. The Norwegian partner provided the results of the study on Alternative Solutions for Harnessing and Storing Renewable Energy Sources in the Port of Koper and the Municipality of Koper. Both Luka Koper and the Municipality of Koper presented investments – solar power plants – that were built as part of the project.
Also present at the meeting was the project manager of SOPOREM, Mr. Kuzmić from the Ministry of Cohesion and Regional Development, who provided concluding remarks from the ministry’s perspective and emphasized that the SOPOREM project will contribute to achieving environmental goals also at the national level.
