On January 31st and February 1st, 2024, the fourth project meeting of the SOPOREM project partners was held in Koper. Representatives of the Norwegian project partner, Greenstat, attended the meeting. The event was hosted by the Municipality of Koper. The first day of the meeting was dedicated to a study visit. Project partners visited The world of energy – interactive centre on energy and the energy industry in Brežice. This was followed by a tour of the Brežice solar power plant. It is the largest solar power plant connected to a hydroelectric plant and the first one connected to a 110-kilovolt transmission grid. The 6MW solar power plant is located on the right bank of the Sava River, near the town of Brežice.
The second day of the project meeting was devoted to administrative project tasks, reviewing the current status of project activities, and planning activities for the project’s conclusion. Project partners visited the Sonce solar power plant, which was built by the Municipality of Koper as part of the project.
